In May, our colleagues from Universidad de Alicante represented CROPSAFE at the 34th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition in The Hague – the world’s leading forum on biomass and the circular bioeconomy, bringing together over 1,400 researchers, industry leaders and policymakers from 63 countries.

EUBCE spans the full breadth of sustainable biomass use, from energy and materials to chemicals and beyond. The team were delighted to have the opportunity to present some of our early results and talk to this community.

The conversations at our exhibition stand were just as valuable as the ones at our presentations: new connections were made with other EU-funded projects, research institutions, and industrial partners across the biomass value chain – many of whom are working on feedstocks and processing challenges that intersect directly with our own. We came away with renewed motivation for our purpose and lots of new ideas.
