On 30 April, Luis Vicente López-Llorca and Elena Georgiana Tane, from the University of Alicante, carried out a working visit and a workshop at Coplaca in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain).
During the morning, Javier López Cepero, Manuel Puerta, and several local growers guided us through a banana plantation in northern Tenerife. They showed us how their banana weevil treatments are being applied using the repellent devices provided by the University of Alicante, while also answering our questions and sharing their valuable hands-on field experience.

In the afternoon, we would like to thank AgroCabildo for their warm hospitality and genuine interest during the coordination meeting held at their office in Tejina, La Laguna. The session featured a very informative workshop on the work being carried out by the University of Alicante in collaboration with Coplaca, offering an excellent opportunity to share results, exchange experiences, and explore ideas for future joint activities.
